These are works in progress - small oils on board of scenes from some of our travels.  I'm really enjoying the architecture and play of the light and shadows.  These will be available in Tulsa, OK at the Utica Square Art Show on October 6; a beautiful outdoor show in Midtown.

Fresh Paint

Painting on tile is fun and I think quite beautiful.  We had pears to paint and here are the results.
Mine on the left will be available at Space 35b at Windsor Market along with others I will post soon of onions, garlic, lemons, and plums.  The price is $35.00 per tile including a small easel for display.

We had a wonderful time in Muskogee at the Art Guild Building downtown.  Such friendly and hard working artists.  Thank you all for the hospitality and generous spirit of learning and laughter.

The Mimosa Tree

This little house perches on the roadside near our turnpike entrance.  When the sun hits the weathered siding and the mimosa blossoms are next to the  gray and white colors, it is a magical sight.

Fall News

It was a beautiful day in Tulsa as the Utica Art on the Square Show ran from 10 - 5.  Crowds were out and looking, enjoying the art.  I had a new spot for setup that I love and sold works entitled Clouds Over the Cimarron, Thin Girl, Day Lilies, and Peach Sky.

Thank you to all who stopped to visit.  My favorite comment received was "You're not like everyone else".  I think it is good to be different!

A big thank you to Anne Weil who gave of her time to help me set up and take down.  I couldn't have done it without you.

Blue Ribbon Day

On June 4, 2011, I was excited to bring home a first place ribbon in professional oil painting from the Route 66 Art Show and Sale sponsored by Sapulpa Arts.  This Oklahoma show brings attention to the history and beauty of our state.  The painting is titled "Parrot Tulip" and is 8" x 10".

Gardening

It is hot in Oklahoma, so I try to go outside early in the day.  Some of our current blossoms are showing such lovely colors.
