Prairie Tradition
When we were young and traveling across Kansas to go home for Christmas, decorating this cedar tree was an important stop along the way. The painting was displayed at the Philbrook Festival of Trees 2008 and it sold last week. I wish the new owners "Happy Holidays".

Girlfriends
My two sisters came for a visit last weekend - a rare and fantastic event! We remembered our mom by walking along the river in her honor. This painting is from a small black and white snapshot of her with her two best friends in high school at Sterling, Kansas. Celebrate the women in your life!

Dozing
We were driving home from hiking Short Mountain in east central Oklahoma. Near the road were these Charlais cattle looking so warm napping in the sun. Prints and notecards are available of this and all my work. The Pagonis family in Oklahoma City own the original and it lives with a little boy named James in his farm decorated bedroom.

The Paint
This week our group of painters visited a beautiful lodge home for a day of plein air painting and enjoying the crisp fall temperatures. This photo was one of my favorite parts of the day...when the paint horse came to investigate what we were doing. The friendly mare got up close and personal!

Trees at Dripping Springs
East of Tulsa, OK is a park created by natural springs. You must climb down into the cool shadows to see the water.
First Love
This painting shows my daughter holding her baby cousin for the first time. The connection was obvious in her expression.
